Khmer Cuisine shares many commonalities with the food of neighboring Thailand and Vietnam as well as influences from Chinese and French cuisine. A traditional Cambodia meal is served with rice and at least three or four dishes. Meals usually include a soup (somlor) served alongside the main courses. Individual dishes are sweet, sour, salty, or bitter in taste.
