Exporing Phnom Penh's Architechtural Heritage
SORYA Honors New Khmer Architecture

Phnom Penh was once known as the “Pearl of Asia” and it’s no surprise, as the old heart of the city is home to many noteworthy, traditional Khmer and French colonial structures.

Cambodia’s renowned architect, Vann Molyvann, was among those who shaped and contributed to Phnom Penh’s “New Khmer Architecture” of the 50s and 60s, his landmarks include the senate, National Sport Complex, National Theater, Council of Ministers, Chaktomuk Conference Hall, and over 60 other governmental, academic, institutional and residential buildings through the country.

To preserve Phnom Penh’s architectural heritage and commemorat Molyvann’s unique, iconic sense of architecture, SORYA Center Point’s “The Bazaar @ Level 4” showcases the replicas of some impressive and distinguish buildings as a tribute to this Cambodia’s foremost architect.

SORYA Center Point - a one stop shopping destination which offers a traditional mixture of Cambodian hospitality, cultural heritage, authentic arts and crafts.
